FREE PREVIEW and 4-WEEK RENTAL:
Instructor-On-A-Disk (IOD) and
Transition To Technology(TTT)

Mimic smallThe rental package includes Instructor-On-A-Disk (IOD) and Transition To Technology (TTT) Leader's Guides, disks, and 7 Activity Books for each course and three Mimic machines.

There are two stages in this offer:

1. REVIEW AND PLAN (FREE) *

Stage 1 is a two-week period during which you review the Systematic Troubleshooting course Instructor-On-A-Disk program and the Transition To Technology program. If the programs do not fit your company's needs, return them at no cost.

If the program is what you are looking for, you keep the two leader's guides and do some serious planning, which is critical for creating major cultural changes.

You choose a leader and participants for classes. (They should be people who you would like on your team, who get things done and who would be supportive of improving performance.) You also decide on homework assignments, troubleshooting activities on your equipment and scheduling. For the four-week rental, you schedule preparation time, six, four-hour class sessions and time for evalution of results. You include "homework" assignments and activities to apply the methods to your own complex processes. We provide guidelines and a planning questionaire.

A lot of work? Sure. But it's the kind of management commitment needed to get your people to buy in. They need to know you're serious. And they want to know what's expected of them. This rental is our way of encouraging you to do this. We want this program to be a big success for you.

You send a copy of your planning questionaire to us so we know you're done your "homework". You also tell us when you want to start classes. We then send 3 Mimic machines and 7 Activity Books for STS and TTT in time for the kickoff of your pilot.

The cost of the rental of both programs is $4,500. That breaks down to a trained instructor and 6 of your maintenance technicians for $750 per person. Or you can rent just STS for $3,900. The full rental fee applies to purchase of Instructor-On-A-Disk.

* Stage 1 requires credit card authorization or purchase order for the amount of the rental fee. No charges are made until rental is complete or unless Leader's Guides are not returned after Stage 1.

2. PRESENT and EVALUATE (RENT)

When classes start, the leader will use Instructor-On-A-Disk to present the Systematic Troubleshooting (STS) course. People learn using examples from the course and the Mimic. The leader assigns “homework” on documenting processes in your plant (or in the field) using STS methods. Homework is due at the next class session. In a group session, they troubleshoot a problem using STS methods on an application from your company.

Classes should each be about four hours separated by at least a half day. Your people have 20-24 hours of class time and 2 to 4 hours of homework.

After STS, Transition To Technology (TTT) is scheduled. It helps your people apply STS principles to your complex processes. A sequential work cell, an automated process and a robot-based spray painting system are included. All activities use the Mimic. Problems caused by machines as well as external factors involving variables in materials, external conditions and people are provided. You choose examples appropriate for your applications.

After classes are completed, it is time for planning for implementation. You will have six people who have experienced the course. You can work with them in determining how to use it to change your company's troubleshooting culture.

The full rental fee applies to purchase of Instructor-On-A-Disk or Trainer’s Development Package.

Or, at the end of the rental period you can return all materials to us except for activity books, which students keep. We bill your charge account or purchase order. You will have a trained leader and six expert troubleshooters (and alot of people who wish they could join them).

We will bill your credit card or purchase order for the rental.
